QuickBooks Point of Sale v10.0 (R2) Pro Level Windows 7/Vista/XP NOTE: This download is clean. The 'QB Registration Fix' may get flagged as a virus and/or malware. Any AV flag is a false-positive. That is the nature of the beast. READ THESE INSTRUCTIONS TWICE IF YOU HAVE TO: Begin installation offline: Run QuickBooksPOSV10.exe Use license and product number: Point of Sale Pro 10 License Number: 4313-3083-4404-680 Point of Sale Pro 10 Product Number: 015-985 Point of Sale will offer you 2 editions: Client Server Workstation Read the description, then select appropriately. Finish installation Don't Start/Exit Point of Sale Copy 'QB Registration Fix' into install directory. (Default is C:\Program Files\Intuit\QuickBooks Point of Sale 10.0) Open the QB Registration Fix that you copied into the install directory, and Click 'Go'. Don't close QB Registration Fix after you click 'Go'. DO NOT CLICK 'OK' UNTIL YOU HAVE REGISTERED POINT OF SALE. CLICKING 'OK' WILL UNDO THE HACK AND RESTORE FILES TO NORMAL. Start Point of Sale offline (Using Your Firewall Or Unplugging The Cable) Almost done. Continue... On startup, Point of Sale displays options for opening or creating a company data file. Select New Company File (Data can be added/changed from POS Toolbar 'File > Company Operations' if you opt to do so later) Enter any name for your company data, etc, and select 'OK' until Point of Sale creates your company data file; which may take a few minutes. Next, Registration Dialog should pop up automatically... Select 'Register Now' QB Registration Fix should still be open after initial use, and you are still offline. Select to REGISTER BY PHONE. You will get the Phone Activation dialog wanting you to enter a validation code. - Type/paste in '99999930' (Without The Quotes), Then Click 'Next'. - Point of Sale Will Thank You For Registering. Click 'Finish'. Close Point of Sale Now you can click the QB Registration Fix 'OK' Button, Then 'Close'. Start Point of Sale Go to the Toolbar 'Help > Software Updates > Updater Preferences' Select: 'Do not notify me. I will check for updates myself'. Then 'OK'. Re-Enable Access To The Net. Then click on 'Help > Software Updates > Check for Updates' button to update manually. Now if there's ever any setbacks, it's your fault... I have updated from R2 to R6 (Jan 09, 2011) without a single issue, and POS remains registered. Done
